Serious Lulz

This is the world’s oldest Lolcat. It was discovered in a Seattle antiques store by Tracy Angulo. The olde-time Lolcat is a postcard that dates back to 1905, featuring a cat sitting on a high chair with the caption “What’s delaying my dinner?”. I’m sure that the creator of this postcard “did it for thy lulzes”. Another of the original postcard was recently sold on eBay for $1.50 — so if you really want to get your hands on one, there is a chance.

Lolcats became popular in 2005, one-hundred years after this postcard was made. Who knew lolcats would make a massive resurgence a century later? I suppose that saying that “what’s old is new again” applies here.
